Wisdom Is The Principal

By Dr. Alvin Augustus Jones

Sunday, June 24th

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Proverbs 4:7-9 (KJV)

Three fold cord can not be easily broken.

Three benefits of Wisdom:

Discernment             Balance             Fitness

Discernment-To distinguish the value, goals and options of everything.

Ponderations 1:23. If you want a cake, you need a recipe from a cookbook. If you want to score, you need a route from a playbook. If you want to succeed, you need an instruction from wisdom. With wisdom, you will win every time, and without wisdom, you will lose all the time.

From Dr. Alvin’s Book of Ponderations

Ponderation (n): 1) higher thought; 2) intellectual dexterity developed through wisdom; 3) using the principles of the high road as a way of life; 4) best practice; 5) highest and best use; 6) excellence in action; gracious words for the soul.

Ponderate (v): ponderator-DrAlvin.com

Synonym for Ponderation (n):
Aphorism, precept, saying, motto, axiom, dictum, byword, adage

Ponderations 1:10. Wisdom airs on the highest frequency; genius is to tune in.

Isa 55:1-3 8-13.

1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

(KJV)

Ponderations 1:16. A foolish mind will play tricks on you, but a wise mind is always a treat.

Ponderations 1:37. It is better to be alone in wisdom, than popular in ignorance.

Why Wisdom?

Your increase or decrease is determined by this.

1st Definition of H.O.M.E-Heart of My Elders

Ps 1:1-6

1            Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2            But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3            And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4            The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5            Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6            For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (KJV)
